Natalia Aristizabal Betancur

Co-Director of Organizing | Make the Road New York


Natalia Came to the United States when she was twelve from Medellin, Colombia. Natalia is the Co-Director of Organizing at Make the Road New York where she leads one of the most dynamic organizing projects in the country. She directly oversees the immigration and Trans Gender Non-Conforming and queer organizing teams.

Before that, she was organizing immigrant youth to fight for access to higher education for undocumented students, Immigration Reform and Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals. Additionally she has lead the Arts & Media programming, developed curriculum and led canvassing efforts to register and activate non-partisan voters. Natalia holds a dual Bachelor’s degree in Latin American Studies and Media Communication Studies from Queens College City University of New York.
