Director | New York Immigrant Freedom Fund
Lee is the first director of the New York Immigrant Freedom Fund, a program at the Brooklyn Community Bail Fund that is dedicated to freeing New Yorkers from immigration detention. Before joining the Fund, Lee worked as a Senior Staff Attorney at the Immigrant Defense Project where she helped to lead a statewide campaign to get ICE out of New Yorks courts. Lees work at the New York Immigrant Freedom Fund continues her commitment to fighting a detention and deportation system that is fueled by the criminalization of immigrants.
Lee is a former Skadden Fellow and earned her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center. She also holds a B.A. from Yale University and a Masters in Journalism from U.C. Berkeley.
