Dr. J. Mario Molina
Dr. J. Mario Molina is the former CEO of Molina Healthcare, a FORTUNE 500 company founded by his father in 1980, and he is the former President of the Golden Shore Medical Group. He graduated from Long Beach City College and California State University Long Beach where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He received his medical degree from the University of Southern California and performed his residency in medicine at the Johns Hopkins Hospital.
In 2005, Dr. Molina was featured in Time magazine as one of the 25 most influential Hispanics in America. He has an honorary doctorate from the Claremont Graduate University. Modern Healthcare listed him among the 100 most influential people in health care.
He is a member of the board of Johns Hopkins Medicine, the Aquarium of the Pacific, the board of Governors of the Huntington Library, the Curators of the Osler Library at McGill Univerity, and the board of Mount St. Mary University. He is a founding member of the United States of Care. In the past, he served on the Board of Homeboy Industries and was a mamber of the Visiting Committee of the Harvard Medical School and Harvard Dental School.
